What Genuinely Warrants It

Something has died in the structure

Usually after somebody put bait down. The smell arrives a couple of days later, it gets substantially worse in a South Bay summer, and it does not resolve on its own for weeks. Locating and removing it is unpleasant, time-sensitive work.

What Does Not, and We Will Say So

Scratching in the ceiling that has been going on for a fortnight is a real problem and it deserves a proper visit — but one more night will not change the outcome, and pretending otherwise to charge a premium is not how we work. The same is true of droppings found in a garage, or a single mouse seen in a garden. Those get a normal appointment, usually within a few days.

What Actually Happens on the Visit

The immediate problem gets dealt with first — the carcass located and removed, the animal in the living space caught, the contamination cleared. That is what you called about and it is what the visit is for.

Then we do the ordinary work: identify the species, read the runs, walk the roofline and the foundation line, and tell you what the actual entry route is. An emergency visit that solves tonight and leaves the building open has fixed a symptom. You will get the findings and a plan for the rest of it, and no obligation to book it with us.

How to Help Us Help You

Tell us what you have heard or seen, when, and whereabouts in the building. Overhead at night, in the small hours, in one corner of one room is a different job from something crossing a kitchen floor at dusk. If bait has been put down recently, say so — it changes what we are most likely looking for. And if you can, do not disturb the area, because the droppings and rub marks are the evidence we read the route from.
